Batik Sarong Marble Terengganu
Blok Stamping method, hand – drawn or silk screen – printing. Block stamping is a repeated process of applying the wax with a metal or wooden block and stamping it onto the cloth. The stamping process creates the desired design. Color is then added.
The beauty of Batik Sarong lies in its traditional features, which comprise the panel (kepala kain), border (kaki kain), and body (badan kain). However, contemporary batik sarong moves away from these features often, and brings new dimensions into design. The methods, however, remain the same. Batik Sarong has versatile uses. Women in East Coast of Malaysia use the whole sarong to cover their heads. Designers constantly create new product designs using batik sarong for interior decoration.
